Kirk started screenwriting when he was only 22 years old. In 1997, his 2nd script was optioned by Lionsgate/Crescent Entertainment when he was just 24. ​His first feature Film Hit n' Strum won several prestigious awards including Audience Choice at the Whistler International Film Festival. 

 

Internationally he is recognized for writing ASURA (2018) -- the first $150 Million production ever shot in China and one of the most high profile films of the decade. The project was featured on the front cover of the Hollywood Reporter at Cannes in 2017 and released across China in 2018.

Kirk currently works part time/full time as a professional Film/Tv writer.
